Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, is engaged in twofold ideals: Self realization and Service to the mankind. And, it is needless to mention here that the Vivekananda Library , one of the oldest libraries in Jalpaiguri district  and having a good stock of books near about 12302 with well equipped with a reading room , the school, college and general readers are very much benefitted through access to text books related to competitive examinations and for  also spiritual developments. Students  use the library for reading and taking notes regularly. We have a plan to transform a portion of this library as E-library in future  after getting monetary assistance.

How to become a member of the library?

It is very easy to become a member of the library. Only members can borrow books. The member is to pay requisite amount. The member can borrow book of his choice. Books can be borrowed for fourteen days and the member can get the due date extended for another 14 days either by coming in person. The library is open to public on all days, except on Wednesday, on  listed holidays and on special occasions. The library is open to all general public and children above five years of age, for reading and reference purposes throughout the year.
