Morning Session – Devotee Convention
In the cordial presence of Revered Jyotirupanandaji Maharaj, Senior Monastic, Ramakrishna Mission, Belur a Devotee Convention was held at Ashrama premises for devotees and admirers of 12 years over age. The main attractions were – Vedic chanting, Gita Path, Guided Meditation, Lecturers, Readings, Devotional songs, Classical Music etc. A lecture on “Relevance of Thakur, Mother and Swamiji in daily life” by Swami Achyuteshanandaji Maharaj, “Ways to attain peace in human life” by Revered Swami Tyagarupanandaji Maharaj and The Shorashi Puja of Shrimasarda Devi Giti Alekhya by Dr. Dattatreya L. Velankar was the main attraction of this convention. Swami Devasthananda of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur read The Gospel of SriRamakrishna and Swami Sevananda of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Chowdhury Hat sung devotional Bhajans. Among 370 participants 339 registered delegates from Jalpaiguri town and nearby places and 31 guests have participated in this convention. Cooked Prasad served to all the participants.
Evening Session
In the evening session, Flute Playing, Songs, Cultural Programme by the students of Sarada Shishu Tirtha Aurovindonagar (Jalpaiguri), Discourses on Life of SriRamakrishna by Revered Swami Achyuteshanandaji Maharaj, Teachings of Sriramakrishna" by Swami Tyagarupanandaji Maharaj and Gaan-Kirtana by Dr. Dattatreya L. Velankar were the main attraction of this programme. Around 2500 people have taken part in this event.
