Guru Purnima 2023
Guru Purnima – 2023 (Bangla 1430) was celebrated at the Ashrama in a spiritual atmosphere on 3rd of July 2023, Monday. The main attractions were Puja, Vedic Chanting, Guided Meditation, Discourses, Pushpanjali, Devotional  Songs. Around 500 devotees received cooked Prasada.

Youth Convention at Jalpaiguri

To mark the 125th Foundation Year of Ramakrishna Mission a Youth Convention for mostly the age group 18 to 30 years was organized at Ashrama premises on 4th of July 2023 in two sessions.

Morning Session: Youth Convention for Girls 

60 girls and 18 observers have participated in this session. The main attractions were – Vedic Chanting, Guided Meditation, Speeches by youth delegates, discourses, Songs by youth delegates, Interaction Session etc. Swami Tarakeshwarananda, Ramakrishna Math, Cooch Behar delivered a motivational speech to the youth. Smt Sarbari Dutta, Faculty, Darjeeling Public School Siliguri narrated an inspiring speech on life and teaching of Swamiji. Swami Shivapremananda also addressed and motivated the youth for their better future. In the end noon prasada and complementary gifts (Books - Swami Vivekananda Life & Teachings, Gems, Folder and Swamiji’s Photo) distributed to all the Participants.

Afternoon Session: Youth Convention for Boys

77 boys and 12 observers have participated in this session. The main attractions were – Vedic Chanting, Guided Meditation, Speeches by youth delegates, discourses, Songs by youth delegates, Interaction Session etc. Swami Tarakeshwarananda, Ramakrishna Math, Cooch Behar delivered a motivational speech to the youth. Smt Sarbari Dutta, Faculty, Darjeeling Public School Siliguri narrated an inspiring speech on life and teaching of Swamiji. Sri Mihir Banerjee, President, Managing Committee Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri also gave a speech on character building. Swami Shivapremananda also addressed and motivated the youth for their better future.  In the end refreshment and complementary gifts (Books - Swami Vivekananda Life & Teachings, Gems, Folder and Swamiji’s Photo) were distributed to all the Participants.
