Report on “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV 2023”

As a part of ongoing "AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV"(AKAM) celebration to commemorate the 75 glorious years of a progressive independent India, under the aegis of AKAM "Har Ghar Tiranga" and “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri, celebrated the 77th independence day from 13th to15th August 2023 followed by hoisting the National flag of India and singing the National Anthem. 

Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign -
From 13th to 15th August 2023, we hoisted the National Flag of India and sang National Anthem. A good number of Volunteers, hostel students were present in this celebration.

Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign -
Under this campaign we celebrated “Vasudha Vandhan” by planting 75 plants of indigenous species on 14th August 2023. Volunteers, Hostel students and students of Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (Integrated Child Development Project) took part in this event.

77th Independence Day Celebration -
On this auspicious day 15th of August 2023, The celebration began with offerings of garland to Swamiji. The main attraction were – Hoisting of The tricolour, singing National Anthem with enthusiastic mood, speeches by monastic and Smt. Shikha Bhowmik (Rtd. Headmistress (Bilasipara Town Girls’ School, Assam), Patriotic Songs sung by hostel students, students of Nivedita Free Coaching Centre (NFCC) and students of Integrated Child Development Project (GAP). A good number of Volunteers, hostel students, students of NFCC and GAP were present in this celebration. There was an arrangement of refreshment at the end.
