The Inter – Coaching Camp Under-17 Boys Football Tournament organized by Jalpaiguri Town Club in association with Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Jalpaiguri, from 21 To 27 August 2023. The football tournament is part of the commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of the Ramakrishna Mission & Jalpaiguri Town Club. In this tournament total 8 teams from Jalpaiguri town and nearby places had participated. Swami Shivapremananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri inaugurated the tournament by kicking football. In his opening speech, he also explained the importance of good health and the necessity of sports and games. He deceminated the views of Swami Vivekananda on this aspects. In The final match,Jalpaiguri Town Club Football Academy beat Belakoba Youth Football Academy by 3-1 score. Both teams were awarded winner and runner-up trophies respectively. Our Ashramas’ First-Aid team served in the whole tournament. We have distributed Swamijis’ literature and folders to all the players of each team with Swamijis’ photo. Print and electronic media have covered the entire events. A large number of younger generation and general public have participated in the event. Along with other dignitaries of this district monks, volunteers, staff, students and devotees of Ashrama also participated in the event.
